A Message from our president and CEO

Since arriving at Houston Methodist, I’ve found that a culture of philanthropy underscores everything we do — from how we educate future leaders and advance medical discovery to how we deliver an unparalleled patient experience. It’s a culture that rests with every Houston Methodist employee across all nine of our campuses. And because of it, when a potential philanthropic friend asks any one of us, “How can I help?” we’re ready to translate that generosity into meaningful, lasting change.
Welcome to the second edition of Leading magazine, a space where we celebrate the power of partnership and the impact of giving. As we look ahead, I’m thrilled to share that Houston Methodist Hospital has once again been named to the U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll of Best Hospitals in the nation. For the 14th consecutive year, we are proud to be ranked No. 1 in Texas. We’ve also earned national rankings in 10 specialties, including pulmonology and lung surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, and urology — just three of the areas in which philanthropy has played a pivotal role, as you’ll read in the pages ahead. These accolades reflect the excellence of our people and the heart of Houston’s giving community. Together, we’re building something extraordinary. In fact, we’re preparing to launch the most ambitious comprehensive campaign in our history. It will be a bold, visionary effort to elevate care, research, innovation and education across our system. I look forward to sharing more with you soon.
We’re also enhancing how we honor your generosity. Beginning in January 2026, we’ll launch new annual and cumulative giving donor recognition programs designed to salute your impact in more personal and visible ways. Because your support deserves to be cheered — and because it inspires others to join you.
Whether you are a longtime donor or a new friend, you are helping Houston Methodist lead medicine forward. And for that, we are deeply grateful.
With appreciation,
Flynn A. Andrizzi, PhD President and CEO Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation
